MasterClass in Psychology

Module 3: Cognition and Learning


This module includes:

- The cognitive function
- Theories about cognition
- Lifelong development

- Socialisation and intercultural psychology

Module 4: Anxiety, Grief and Crises


This module focuses on the different theories about anxiety, grief and crises. The purpose is that you build up an understanding of these areas and, at the same time, that you are able to relate to these theories critically. In this context, your choices of action and your competences will be increased.

- Self-esteem and self-confidence
- Interview and listening techniques
- Cognitive therapy – theory and practice
- Panic attacks, health anxiety and phobias
- OCD, depression etc.

Module 6: Communication, Motivation & Cooperation


This module includes:

- Different strategies and methods for working with communication & social competences
- The importance of language in relation to communication

- Body language and nonverbal communication
- Appreciative inquiry
- Storytelling
- Process consultation
- Conflict management
- Mediation

Exam

This includes a review of each participant’s test results after each module.


The teaching material is at business school and MBA-level, but it is made accessible via a combination of theoretical knowledge and cases from selected businesses. These cases are designed to make the participant reflect on the syllabus by applying the theories on a practical example. Furthermore, the programme will provide the opportunity to build up networks with managers on the highest levels across leading private and public companies.

The Programme:


When signing up for the course, the participants will receive a password and a user name which will provide direct access to the lessons, the libraries and the link pages that are connected to the teachings. Moreover, the participants will gain access to an online dialogue forum with experts and professionals who will add contributions, cases and practical examples during the courses. Through the dialogue forum, the participants will also be able to contact each other. The lessons are concrete and job-related, and the course is organised in a way which makes it possible for the participant to draw on the learning directly in relation to his or her daily work.

Preparation:


Before the course starts, the participant will fill out a comprehensive questionnaire. When we have processed the answers, these will show the participant’s learning style profile and level within management. This profile will be compared to the participant’s results at the final exam.
